چکیده

The notion of persistency, based on the rule "no action can disable another one" is one of the classical notions in concurrency theory. We recall two ways of generalization of this notion: the first is "no action can kill another one" and the second "no action can kill another enabled one". Afterwards we present an infinite hierarchy of computations in which one action disables another one for no longer than a specified number of steps (e/l-k-persistency). We prove that if an action is disabled, and not killed, by another one, it can not be postponed indefinitely. Finally we deal with decision problems about e/l-k persistency. We show that this kind of persistency is decidable with respect to steps, markings and nets.

Iran is located in dry zone of mid-latitude in which the mean rainfall is 250 mm and it has dramatic tempo-spatial changes. Rainfalls with short persistency are of characteristics of dry regions and it is also tangible in Iran. However, Iran’s rainfalls persistency ranges from 1 to 45 days and have dramatic tempo-spatial changes, but the maximum amount and days of rainfalls are supplied by rain...

The use of analytic hierarchy process in the selection of suitable excavation machine for Dez - Qomroud water conveyance tunnel (lot 1&2), Iran

Qomroud water conveyance tunnel (lot 1&2) with the length of 16 kilometers is considered as one of the greatest development and national projects in Iran. Since about 2 kilometers of tunnel pass through alluvium and the rest of the tunnel pass through various types of geological units, and due to the complexity of geological condition and variety of effective criteria, suitable selection of exc...

Hierarchy of persistence with respect to the length of action's disability

The notion of persistence, based on the rule "no action can disable another one" is one of the classical notions in concurrency theory. It is also one of the issues discussed in the Petri net theory. We recall two ways of generalization of this notion: the first is "no action can kill another one" (called l/l-persistence) and the second "no action can kill another enabled one" (called the delay...

SEMIGROUP ACTIONS , WEAK ALMOST PERIODICITY, AND INVARIANT MEANS

Let S be a topological semigroup acting on a topological space X. We develop the theory of (weakly) almost periodic functions on X, with respect to S, and form the (weakly) almost periodic compactifications of X and S, with respect to each other. We then consider the notion of an action of Son a Banach space, and on its dual, and after defining S-invariant means for such a space, we give a...
